Age 13, begins kart racing; 1996, ALL-JAPAN Karting Championship competitor-FR Class.
1997, ELF Corp. scholarship recipient, relocates to France and competes in 4-wheel Formula racing for first time. Enters 1998 Formula Renault Series.
1999, returns to Japan after two years in France and competes in Formula Dream. Following two consecutive seasonal rankings at second position overall he is scouted by Masahiro Hasemi,,enters 2001 GT300 class with the HASEMI MOTOR SPORT TEAM, same year debuts in JAPANESE FOMULA3 CHAMPIONSHIP with renowned Toda Racing team.
2003, Wins inaugural AUTOBACS CUP ALL JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP GT300 class series. In 2005 promoted to GT500 class with NISMO (Nissan Works Team). 2006 competes in Formula NIPPON with KONDO RACING. 2009, competes in and triumphs to become seasonal champion of Super Taikyu Series ST1class.
2003, Wins inaugural AUTOBACS CUP ALL JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP GT300 class series. In 2005 promoted to GT500 class with NISMO (Nissan Works Team). 2006 competes in Formula NIPPON with KONDO RACING. 2009, champion of Super Endurance ST1class.
2011, transfers to MOLA Team (Sroad MOLA GT-R) again competing in GT500 class; achieves long-held wish of victory at that level in Rd.4 race at SUGO. History breaking achievement, becoming first ever driver to win GT300 Class and GT500 Class series, achieving feat in successive years.
2012, another milestone, again wins the GT500 class series becoming the first triumvirate of driver-partner-team to do so in successive years.
He currently serves as Executive Advisor to Nissan’s NISMO team in the top-tier SUPER GT (GT500 class), and as Team Director and Driver for TEAM ZEROONE in the Super Taikyu Series (ST-Z class).
